Ummm..yeah
Hopefully you’ve figured out that the image here is not me, but rather it’s my dev buddy, named Toy.
I find it awkward to talk about myself, so I have asked him to describe me in his own words, because I find a good rule in life is to “strive to be the person your dog thinks you are,” right?
What I got back was this brief email message:
“bark-bark, woof, squeak, *fart*.”
…I’m still trying to figure out how he used the keyboard, by the way.
Translation as follows…
“My dad is a good guy. When he, and my mom, came down to the adoption organization (GPA Greater NW) to meet me and my friends, I thought they nice, fun to play with, and although they look funny, I chose them for my forever home.
I help my dad with his work all the time, I’m super smart like that. I keep his feet warm while he sits at his desk talking to the big square light and tapping his fingers rapidly. Every so often he’ll sit back and sigh and I know it’s time for me to step in and let him pet me. It’s a tough job, but I’m up to the task.
He spends many hours each day working hard to make that light box do what he wants it to. Occasionally I hear other voices coming from the light box … a lot of times my dad is asking it questions, and the other voices coming from it always sound very happy with the finger tapping my dad is doing. The light doesn’t give him any treats for a being good though….poor dad. I make sure I let him pet me as a reward instead.
Even though he spends most of the day…wait… SQUIRREL! OMG, SQUIRREL!!
Ok its gone now. Now where was I again? Oh yeah…
Even though he spends most of the day at his desk, he still finds time for me. He also finds time to make this thing called “music.” I have no idea what that is but it sure sounds good. I am amazed at all the cool stuff he can do.
He and my mom like to have friends come over on weekends to eat treats and drink something called “craft beer” and “wine.” They laugh a lot and discuss things called “tech,” “sports” and “Star Wars”. Of course, I always get lots of attention too, which is important.”
